Welcome to the home of the Spiritual Shepherdess
What is a Shepherdess?
Thinking about what a shepherdess does, it made me explore this concept in more detail and whilst there were doubts about biblical connotations, essentially a shepherdess does take care of her flock and for the most part we are all shepherds or shepherdesses around our families, perhaps in our working environments and with our friends. We all care for other people, take them into our hearts, nurture and protect as much as we are able and sometimes that role is reversed and we look to other shepherds to do the same for us in other areas of our lives, hence the making of this group. The role of the Spiritual Shepherdess Group is to provide a safe environment where all can flourish, learn about the nuances of the universe, this planet earth that we call home, our minds, emotions and physicalities and bring people together for the purpose of connecting on that all important spiritual level.
What do we do?
Based in Bournemouth, UK, The Spiritual Shepherdess Group is committed and devoted to providing an outlet for those wishing to explore life, love, emotions, mind processes, spiritual endeavours, to safely explore the universe, earth, personal growth and health and body matters. It comprises of a weekly Positive Living Group in Ringwood, various mediumship evenings, sound baths and any ad hock events that it is felt would be of benefit as well as providing details of Soul Midwifery work (spiritual care at the end of life).
Please do share it and tell all your friends that might benefit from such a group and let’s keep this going for as long as it needs to be in existence.
Thank you for connecting – every single one of you is unique and your contributions so valuable. Below is a fabulous video about heart energy from Heartmath.

How did the Spiritual Shepherdess group come about?
It’s not because it’s easy to type I can assure you! The idea was inspired by a very dear friend of mine who just happened to mention that I was like a shepherdess that gathers people together, protects and cares for them and provides a safe haven to discover and explore. As I deal primarily with spiritual aspects of this exploration the name developed and then stuck.
What is this group about?
For me, the role of the Spiritual Shepherdess is to provide a safe environment where all can flourish, learn about the nuances of the universe, this planet earth that we call home, our minds, emotions and physicalities and bring people together for the purpose of connecting on that all important spiritual level. My connection to other people in this last year alone has been immense and I feel ready now to take this further and step into what I feel is part of my life plan. Our spiritual health is perhaps more important than we realise and I am so encouraged to see all the wonderful outlets out there in the world and in our hearts that brings that spiritual aspect and essence back to where it should be… in the community and into our very souls.
The Group on Facebook
I am so touched with the response to this group – over 80 people connected on Facebook in just over 24hrs and I love to see all the connections to others being made just through chance conversations. We are all in this together after all. Please share it and tell all your friends that might benefit from such a group and let’s keep this going for as long as it needs to be in existence.
Please connect with us on Facebook and thank you for connecting if you have already done so – every single one of you is unique and your contributions so valuable. Here are some useful quotes from some very good friends that have connected through this group, explaining a bit about what spiritual health means to them:
The human body enjoys health either good or bad, and we all wish to have complete and good health, the spiritual health that you allude to is absolutely vital for our continued wellbeing. IF our spiritual health declines then this is reflected in our body health (physiological).. this is why some will fall prone to some diseases and others will not. (Bob – Dorset)
Emotional health is when we feel secure within ourselves, happy with our everyday persona and self-value. we have a good or high level of self worth or self-esteem and we lack any form of mental health disorder. Spiritualhealth, however, is totally different from emotional health in that we feel connected to all others, to a higher power or higher self, to be at one with nature and recognise that we are as one with every living thing. (Bob – Dorset)
If the one with the loudest voice shouts out a daily blurb, then eventually we will all start to believe the shoutings. because they are the loudest and maybe only voice.. whereas if we all ask our own questions, of ourselves each day, we will slowly grow and seek more outside of ourselves. (Bob – Dorset)
I agree that we have to find our own way and that can be through trial and error. I’m pretty sure that one of the reasons we are ‘like minded’ on this site is because we question. (Jen – Hampshire)
Our spiritual health is vital to a happy life and is often neglected as we get caught up in daily dramas but a subject that one is drawn to as major events or a shift in consciousness occurs and then we start to examine why we are here and what life is all about. (Me)
