Neale Donald Walsch – My thoughts
Well, the event is now over, the people all gone, the lights turned off and I sit here in a darkened, empty auditorium just soaking up what’s left of the magical energy created by 430 people and one man who was in the spotlight for much of the time.
This man weaved a story of life, with all its’ foibles and made sense of a world that is sometimes non-sensical. When putting together such things, one wonders if our guests will “get it”. Is this an airy-fairy practice and teaching that has no connection to what is really going on in our lives we wonder? Those who had already read Neale’s books would know loosely what the talk was about… those that had not were perhaps unsure if this was going to be useful and worth the money and perhaps hoping beyond hope that it would answer some crucial questions and put them on a life path to love, health and happiness. My thanks go to several people who helped make this event possible – see below.
I welcomed Neale to the stage and an expectant hush settled over the audience as we waited with baited breath to hear the wisdom this giant of a man (giant in terms of well-known in spiritual circles) was going to impart to us. We weren’t disappointed. The words flowed, Neale was on great form and judging from the wonderful feedback most people went away with a warm, cosy feeling, not only of being in the company of a grand master but taking the magic and learnings with them for processing and integrating into their lives.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Neale’s material and ‘Conversations With God’, does indeed change lives, millions of them around the world. His mission is to create communities where people learn to live their life in a joyful and peaceful manner, where people love and respect themselves and others and bring harmony where there is disharmony. This is a process we can all learn and it starts with ourselves. If you haven’t yet read one of Neale’s books, or seen any of his video clips, maybe now is a good time to start, especially if you want to see change in your own life and the world. If you are questioning why ‘on earth’ are we here… literally ‘why on earth’ am I here?, then maybe it’s time to start answering that question and living life to the full. Make the most of your life this time around … you never know what’s in store and you will never know unless you start exploring. Remember “Nothing changes until you do”…. Go and make your life happen – live on purpose, as they say!
More reflections on the 4 days with Neale and Em-Claire to come soon, but in the meantime….
Thanks and acknowledgements…
Although I work as a sole business person, no-one ever works totally alone. There is always a bigger picture and people in the background that may not be seen or heard, but do exceptional jobs in helping these things get off the ground. Therefore my thanks go to the following people without whom this would not have happened:
Jessica Woods – Friend and mentor – A conversation with Jess when I was feeling a bit low turned out to be a pivotal moment and kept me on track to go ahead with this event. We have a lot to thank Jess for as without her timely and well-intentioned words, this event would not have happened.
Sean Gardiner – Also a friend and mentor – I can always rely on a few people to help keep things on track and step up when called upon. Sean is one of those people without whom the 4 days of Neale and Em-Claire in Bournemouth would not have run smoothly… not to mention the chauffeuring and sight-seeing guide!
Caroline Grayson – Long-standing friend whose close association with Neale when he was at Gaunts House, gave me the confidence and curiousness in the first place to pursue the booking.
Bob & Daphne James – Stalwarts and ambassadors of my Positive Living Group, where it all started, again without whom I would not be on this path.
Sarah Haywood – Another long-standing friend of many years who has helped and guided me along the way, shared the love and encouraged me to pursue my dream.
Jane Legg – Always there to lend a helping hand and did a sterling job as chief cashier on the night.
The lovely ladies at Timber – For helping to sell so many tickets through their beautiful shop in Ringwood.
Amber Sibley – Make-up artist, chaffeuress and now interviewer too and very good at holding it all together expertly – again this event and the interviews beforehand would have suffered greatly without Amber’s intervention and “can do” attitude.
Jo Barker – Friend and Business Mentor… hours of “how to… make things happen and make things work, mind maps and spreadsheep” discussions.
Josh Coles and Insel Rowie Affe – Sound guys and DJ … some challenges here but given the antiquated system these guys did brilliantly in making sure we had some sort of sound, even it was a bit interesting, shall we say!
Clara Chi and Lothar Roppelt – Sound bites and recording feedback and interviewing Neale and Em-Claire for the radio.
Caroline Cousins, Dee Harding, Shelly Coles, Karen Karma Corazan Font-Garcia – Hostesses with the mostess… thank you for being so glamorous and supporting me all through the last few months.
My heartfelt thanks to you all (and anyone I may have forgotten)… as a team, we really ROCK. Your love and support is crucial to the smooth running of my events and I would love to see you involved in the next one too..
Many thanks also to everyone that attended and helped share the magic.
Lots of love
